What is Crown?

Crowns and bridges are dental restorations surrounding and protecting a tooth or an implant. They're usually employed when a tooth's health in jeopardy due to a significant cavity. Dental cement is used to secure crowns in place. Dental crowns repair the tooth's anatomy and its functions and appearance. Crowns can be used to replace both fixed and missing teeth.

When a tooth is gone, a grin is always incomplete. When a tooth is lost, the other teeth shift and intrude on the empty area, producing misalignment. Removable methods for replacing missing teeth are inconvenient and make eating and speaking difficult for the patient. They also lower the patient's self-esteem. And this is where the experienced doctors from Kosmic Clinic in Lucknow come into play, and they strive to deploy cutting-edge fixation procedures that prioritise patient comfort and pleasure

How does the Crown work?

We will prepare the tooth to the ideal shape for the crown. This will involve removing a layer of the outer surface, leaving a strong inner core. The amount of the tooth removed will be the same as the thickness of the crown. Once the tooth is shaped, the team will take an impression mould of the prepared tooth, one of the opposite jaw and possibly another to show how you bite together. The impressions will then be given to a dental technician, information about the shade to use and any other information they need.
